I am interested in the research aspects of the Radiation & Nuclear Techniques for Cultural Heritage Research (the OTTOMAN ARCHIVES).

1)studying the role of the scientific Heritage in the society.

2)Protection, treatment, and sterilization by controlled irradiation of Heritage’s Manuscripts, archives, Books, and Archeology in various cultural collections across the world. (UV - X-rays & Gamma rays).

3)The impact of particular biting insects and bacteria on heritage books made of cellulose, leather, and wooden materials and reducing the risk of contamination,

4)Physical material analysis of the manuscripts, artifacts, architectural, and cultural archaeological record. (XRF (metal analyses)- Tera Hertz),

5)Cleaning the burned artifacts, books and culture ruins after catastrophes, wars...etc.,

6)Using of X-UV-VL-IR lamps, cameras and filters for studying the manuscripts and paintings or drawings,

7)Dating by Methods of Radioactive Isotopes Techniques,

8)Radon and Norm monitoring in the public libraries, artifacts, architecture, and cultural archaeological museums,

9)Studying of the safety protocols to determine the doses and physical conditions of treatment.

For the past 17 years, I have been a lecturer and a full time faculty member at the University of Aleppo in Syria, and the King Faisal University (KFU) in Saudi Arabia, where I was involved in a variety of activities including:

1.Research on alpha, Beta, gamma, XRF, and neutron spectroscopy,

2.Lecturing Physics for faculties of Science, Medicine, and Engineering at University of Aleppo and Al-Furat Universities,

3.Supervising many M.Sc. Students.

4.E-learning in Science.

I hold a Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics: Theoretical Physics (nuclear reactors physics and experimental physics of atom and elementary particles) the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, Kiev, Ukraine and a BS in Physical and Mathematical Sciences the University of Aleppo (Nuclear Physics).
